The account detailed in the 2021 publication titled “Kamala’s Way” reveals that while engaged in a relationship with Willie Brown—then serving as California State Assembly Speaker—Harris journeyed from Boston to New York City aboard Trump’s opulent airplane. At that time, she was working as a deputy district attorney for Alameda County.
During their Boston visit, Mr. Brown received an unexpected call from Trump, who at that point had already established himself as a prominent real estate mogul seeking to discuss potential hotel ventures in Los Angeles. To facilitate this meeting, Trump dispatched his private jet for their travel needs.
Aboard the extravagant aircraft were notes reportedly penned by Trump’s then-wife Marla Maples. Mr. Brown later described this plane as having lavish interiors reminiscent of art galleries rather than standard aviation decor. He noted it included “a bedroom adorned with artworks typically found in museum collections,” showcasing an extreme level of affluence.

Bizarrely enough, while sharing the flight experience with Mr. Brown, Harris did not participate in his business meeting with Trump but together they captured a memorable photograph aboard the plane—a keepsake reportedly still held by Mr. Brown today.
In an interview reflecting on that unique situation he stated confidently: “I possess that picture.” Interestingly enough, following this incident decades later—specifically around 2011—Trump donated $5,000 toward Harris’s campaign for California Attorney General.
