Accessing Nintendo’s music catalog can be quite challenging. Unlike many artists, their soundtracks are not readily available on popular streaming services, which often leads me to search through YouTube for tracks from titles like Animal Crossing and Metroid. Therefore, I was excited about the launch of Nintendo Music, a new application that debuted unexpectedly last week. I hoped it would serve as a comprehensive platform for enjoying Nintendo’s iconic soundtracks. However, despite some innovative features, the app presents numerous frustrations and peculiar decisions from Nintendo that prevent it from meeting my expectations.
