Ben Affleck Lauds Jennifer Lopez’s Performance in Upcoming Film
In a recent interview, Ben Affleck referred to his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, as “extraordinary” in her role for the forthcoming film.
This week, Affleck expressed admiration for Lopez’s performance in the upcoming movie Unstoppable. In response to his praise, Lopez reciprocated with heartfelt compliments towards the entire cast and crew. As reported by E! News, she emphasized her support for everyone involved.
Affleck highlighted that Lopez delivered a “spectacular” portrayal of Judy Robles, the mother of boxer Anthony Robles. The film draws inspiration from Anthony’s book and is produced by both Affleck and his longtime collaborator Matt Damon. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 6 and will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting January 16 next year.
“Jennifer is truly remarkable,” Affleck shared with Entertainment Tonight. “We trusted the right people, and Unstoppable exemplifies that.”
Diving deeper into her experience on set, Jennifer stated during a video message from the U.K. premiere on November 5: “I would describe everyone involved—cast and crew—as extraordinary and wonderful.”
The director of the film, William Goldenberg, commented on how amicable their relationship remains during this project. He noted that both stars are seasoned professionals who prioritize their work over personal matters when promoting their new venture.
“It’s always been about focusing on the film; their personal lives are separate,” Goldenberg explained to E! News back in September at its Toronto International Film Festival debut. “We kept our attention firmly fixed on what mattered—the movie itself.”
