On October 25, following their splashdown aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule that marked the end of a 235-day mission, one astronaut was admitted to a Florida hospital due to an undisclosed “medical issue,” as reported by NASA. Fortunately, after spending one night under medical observation, NASA announced that the astronaut was discharged in good health and returned to Houston for standard post-mission recovery activities.
Anonymity and Privacy Concerns
The identity of the astronaut involved has not been disclosed by NASA due to privacy regulations surrounding medical information. The crew aboard the Dragon spacecraft consisted of three NASA astronauts: Commander Matthew Dominick, Pilot Michael Barratt, and Mission Specialist Jeanette Epps. They were joined by Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, who confirmed he did not require hospitalization upon his return.
