A Close Encounter with Wildlife
On the second day of my expedition, I found myself gliding through calm waters near Lilliehöökbreen, a magnificent glacier extending nearly 14 miles. While soaking in this tranquil moment, my gaze caught sight of a grayish shape briefly surface before disappearing again. Initially thinking it a mere rock, I quickly realized it was something remarkable when it re-emerged—staring right back at me was an inquisitive ringed seal! We all paused in wonder as this curious creature circled our kayaks for a while before gliding away to explore farther.
