Although the rumored battle between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg never unfolded last year, Musk theorized that such an event would not have lasted long.
In his most recent commentary on Wednesday, he declared his intention to take up the challenge posed by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro for a duel. This invitation came after weeks of accusations from Musk about Maduro’s alleged electoral misconduct concerning Venezuela’s recent elections.

This isn’t the first instance where Elon has suggested engaging in physical combat with prominent global leaders. Shortly after Russia initiated its conflict with Ukraine back in February 2022, he openly challenged Vladimir Putin to settle their differences through "single combat. Unique offers followed suit as he proposed using only one hand if Putin felt uneasy about fighting him fairly.
The exchange regarding sparring with Meta’s CEO dates back to June 2023 when rumors emerged suggesting Zuckerberg’s company was crafting an alternative platform similar to X (formerly Twitter). Subsequently, Meta launched Threads—a new text-based social media service—in July but no actual confrontation took place despite both tech moguls’ provocations and banter.
Zuckerberg addressed this dubious quandary by stating: “If there’s ever an agreed-upon date for this event, I will make sure everyone hears from me directly. Until then, assume any statements he’s made are unverified.” This response came following online discussions about their potential showdown.
