Exciting New Flights Set to Launch in June 2025
Edelweiss Air, a well-known airline based in Switzerland and a subsidiary of Lufthansa, has officially revealed its plans for new flights. Starting from June 2, 2025, travelers will have access to twice-weekly services from Seattle’s SeaTac Airport to Zurich Airport.
Flight Schedule Details
The scheduled departures from Seattle are set for every Monday and Saturday at 4:25 p.m., with an expected arrival time into Zurich at 11:45 a.m. the following day. Likewise, return flights will also be available on Mondays and Saturdays from Zurich back to Seattle. This newly announced route complements existing Edelweiss services connecting Denver, Las Vegas, and Tampa Bay.
A Summer Destination for Adventure Seekers
This advantageous schedule enables travelers from the West Coast an excellent opportunity to immerse themselves in Switzerland’s stunning landscapes during summer months. Upon arrival in Zurich—Switzerland’s largest city—passengers can either explore local attractions or connect onwards to more than 90 global destinations serviced by Edelweiss including popular spots such as Agadir (Morocco) or Bari (Italy). Other destinations within reach via this airline include locations across Croatia, France, Greece, Ireland, Spain, and Turkey.
Pioneering Additional Routes Across North America
An additional route is scheduled for launch on July 3rd when flights will commence between Halifax (Nova Scotia) and Zurich as well.
Currently available ticket sales for both routes are not yet listed on Edelweiss’s official website.

Edelweiss is acclaimed as Switzerland’s premier leisure airline offering various travel classes that include Business Class along with Economy Max offerings.” For this new route between Seattle and Zurich, passengers can expect an Airbus A340-300 configured with a total passenger capacity of up to 214 individuals. Of these seats laid out comfortably within lie-flat business class spaces numbering up to 27.”
The economy seating features advanced amenities such as an impressive high-definition entertainment system boasting over 250 selections available on an impressive eleven-inch touchscreen display.
Evolving Amid Rising Travel Demand
Edelweiss continues expanding amid burgeoning international travel interest; having served approximately 2.7 million passengers throughout their operations just last year—a noticeable uptick compared against only about half that number around two million customers recorded during 2021.
