In an innovative collaboration, Ford has joined ⁣forces ⁣with TXU Energy, a prominent‌ energy provider in Texas, to offer customers complimentary electric vehicle (EV)‌ charging at home. Those who own newer models ⁤from Ford’s electric lineup or plug-in hybrids can benefit from the Free EV Miles ⁣program, which allows⁤ them to⁤ receive full credits⁢ on their ​utility bills when they charge their vehicles‌ during TXU’s designated 18-hour free period.

According ​to a recent ‌announcement⁤ by Ford reported in a press release,‌ the company is ‍focused on “informing Texans about the benefits associated​ with​ driving electric‌ vehicles.” This unique initiative encourages users‍ to charge their cars during ⁣off-peak hours. The ⁣periods for free charging ​are set between 7:00 PM and 1:00 PM the following day; any charging done outside⁢ this window will incur regular electricity rates.
