A Telegram channel has circulated what it describes as “highly classified” US intelligence reports that analyze Israel’s intentions to launch an attack on Iran.
The channel, known as the “Middle East Spectator,” which identifies itself as an independent open-source news aggregator, stated that it obtained two highly sensitive U.S. intelligence documents through an anonymous source on Telegram who chose to remain unidentified. These documents reportedly detail preparations by the Israeli government for a military strike against Iran.
Despite sharing these claims, the Middle East Spectator admitted that it could not authenticate the legitimacy of the leaked materials.
Lack of Official Comments from US and Israeli Authorities
No official comments have been made by either US or Israeli representatives regarding this potential leak. Axios reported that while intelligence officials refrained from commenting directly, they did not challenge the accuracy of the information presented in these documents.
The Department of Defense was also approached for comments but did not respond promptly to inquiries from Business Insider.

Sean McFate, an expert in national security and foreign policy at Syracuse University, conveyed his thoughts via text message to Business Insider stating that there is little surprise surrounding Israel’s intentions towards attacking Iran. He noted ongoing discussions within Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu’s administration about selecting specific targets for such operations.
“The significance of this document leak is heightened given there are few advocates for Iranian interests within U.S. governmental circles,” McFate remarked. He also pointed out existing tensions between President Biden and Netanyahu during this politically charged period leading up to elections.
