The renowned investor and television personality made this assertion via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. His mention of "Founder Mode" references an influential article written by Paul Graham, who cofounded Y Combinator.

This concept was elaborated upon by Graham earlier this week through a detailed essay where he compared hands-on approaches typical of business founders with those adopted by conventional managers.
“The idea sounds appealing—hire talented individuals and allow them autonomy,” he commented. “However, numerous founder testimonials reveal that what often transpires is relying on adept but ultimately ineffective people who can lead businesses astray,” Graham explained in his analysis.
