Compensation for MacBook Users Affected by ​Keyboard Issues

Apple⁢ has commenced issuing ⁣compensation checks to ⁢customers impacted by the‌ malfunctioning butterfly keyboards in ‌their MacBooks. This move signifies the conclusion of ⁤a prolonged issue‌ involving unresponsive or malfunctioning keys ⁤that affected users of Mac laptops manufactured from 2015 through 2019.

Details on the Class Action Settlement

These payments stem from a substantial $50 million⁢ settlement reached over a class action lawsuit⁣ regarding these keyboard ⁢issues in ‌2022.​ Claimants who‌ submitted⁣ their applications during the designated filing period last year are entitled⁢ to receive amounts ranging from $50, $125, ‌or even up to $395, ‍contingent upon the frequency and seriousness ‌of repairs undertaken. In June, a judicial order mandated Apple to initiate these disbursements.
