P>I suspect there may be differing opinions between players in the US and those elsewhere regarding this puzzle’s familiarity with COBBSALAD; perhaps it was just me who found it challenging due to lack of prior knowledge about it. Additionally, I was puzzled by the clue ‘Got any bleu cheese?’ which led me to think it had French origins—after all why else would ‘bleu’ be used instead of ‘blue’? This made solving quite perplexing.
P>I eventually cracked it through trial and error; I recognized BACON early on along with CHICKEN which hinted at a food-related theme. However finding other words took longer than expected; arriving at the spangram felt like a last resort based solely on elimination since nothing else fit by that point! Overall not my most gratifying experience—though if you’re fond of Cobb Salad—which sounds unappealing to me—you might have enjoyed this one more.
P>I’d love to hear how you fared! Feel free tosend me an email!
