During last week’s extravagant unveiling of its Cybercab, Tesla prominently featured its Optimus robots. These robots interacted with attendees by serving beverages, participating in games, and even dancing within a gazebo. Perhaps most astonishingly, they were capable of conversing with guests. However, much of this appeared to be more theatrical than genuinely autonomous.
Observations from the event videos reveal this reality quite clearly. If the Optimus were truly an independent entity capable of instantaneously responding to both verbal and visual stimuli while engaging in conversation with individuals amidst a dimly lit setting, it would indeed be revolutionary.
